Windsor House is New Communities Services' Day Health division. Windsor House operates a lively cost-effective adult day health center that improves the quality of life for participants and their families. As one of the first adult day health programs in the nation, Windsor House services keeps adults where they want to be; in the familiar settings of their homes and communities.








Our Adult Day Health Center Provides Exceptional Care & Support

Our Staff:

Our multidisciplinary staff brings compassion, years of training, and commitment to their jobs. Our staff members are certified in CPR, First Aid, and Alzheimer's Care. We have multi-lingual staff and clients throughout our centers fluent in:

Spanish |Portuguese | Haitian Creole | French | Italian | Amharic (Ethiopian)

Nursing & Personal Care:

Our adult day center maintain registered nurses on site, and they maintain communication with primary care physicians and their assistants about client's personal needs. We also have podiatrists that come to our center, and even supply yearly Influenza clinics to keep participants informed. Our RN's provide a variety of nursing services, including, but not limited to:

Diabetic Management | Blood Pressure Checks | Monitoring of Vital Signs | Medication Management | Rehabilitative Care

Community Services:

The community-based support provided at New Communities Services Inc./Windsor House Adult Day Health is essential to our clients' wellbeing. We ensure a full range of community services, including:

Working in Depth with Physicians | Coordinating Individual Counseling Services | Supply Health Education

Companionship and Fun:

Games, music, trivia, entertainment, crafts, and reminiscent and discussion groups keep participants alert, physically active and interacting with staff and fellow participants.

Social Services/Care Coordination:

Coordinated care is a priority when it comes to the welfare of individuals attending our adult programs. Windsor House staff members have a strong relationship with the following local institutions, which enables us to efficiently manage our client and family needs. These include:

Somerville Cambridge Elder Services |Mystic Valley Elder Services | Springwell | Central Boston Elder Services

Specialized Care and Services:

Physical or cognitive limitations are not obstacles to participation. Activities are adapted to each individual's capabilities. Windsor House has physical therapists and occupational therapists, who work with individuals at our centers. Our Center provides a safe, friendly, and supportive environment for people with Alzheimer's disease or other memory loss. The staff is specially trained to attend to the safety and social needs of participants. We offer activities for the skill level of each participant. A supportive environment encourages participants and helps them feel comfortable. We also ensure that participants have individual support and supervision when needed.


For ease of service we arrange transportation to and from our program.

Nutrition/Dietary Planning:

Nutritious meals are served daily at Windsor House. We serve breakfast with a choice of entrees including cereal, toast, muffins, juice, coffee and tea; a hot noon meal including specific dietary needs; and a nutritious afternoon snack. Our daily meals are determined with assistance from our registered dietician, who oversees meal planning. RN’s are also help participants with nutritional education and anyone needing extra assistance with feeding. 

Family Support:

We recognize that family and other caregivers are crucial members to any treatment team. Our program provides a break for the day-to-day caregivers and support services.
